Seattle
Electrical permit and Seattle Fire permit check for battery storage systems
SDCI's electrical permit page requires an electrical permit when wiring is installed, altered, extended, or connected to electrical equipment. Seattle Fire Department's energy storage information sheet says power walls or solar photovoltaic installations in a one- or two-family residential setting do not require an SFD permit, but directs those installations to SDCI permitting; other battery storage scopes should be checked against Seattle Fire and SDCI requirements before installation.
