Electrical permit, EZ EVC eligibility, and building permit check for EV charger installation

Philadelphia L&I's electrical permit page includes EV charger stations meeting the EVC permit standard among work that can be eligible for an EZ electrical permit without plans. The City's EVC standard says qualifying chargers accessory to one-or-two-family dwellings may be permitted without electrical plans or a separate building permit, while all other projects require electrical plans and a separate building permit. EV charger projects should also confirm zoning, right-of-way, utility, and inspection requirements before installation.
