Electrical permit and residential service equipment EZ eligibility check

Philadelphia L&I says an Electrical Permit is needed for installation, alteration, replacement, and repair of electrical and communication systems and components. Its residential service equipment EZ standard says qualifying one-or-two-family service equipment installation, alteration, or repair requires an EZ Electrical Permit only and does not require plans, while other projects may require a Building Permit and Electrical Permit with plans. Panel, service, feeder, disconnect, meter, or related wiring work should be checked with L&I and PECO before work starts.
