NYC DOB has a dedicated DOB NOW filing area for Electrical Energy Storage Equipment. 1 RCNY 105-02 states that electric energy storage equipment work must address electrical permit requirements, construction work permits before work is performed, OTCR review where required, inspections, sign-off, and operation requirements, so battery storage projects should be filed through the DOB EESE and electrical permit process before installation.
