Re-roof permit path with limited roof-covering repair exception

Houston Permitting Center's residential plan review page says plans are not required to obtain a permit for re-roof or roof repairs, except that this does not include replacement of rafters or joists; an online building permit application and residential re-roof worksheet must be completed. The same page lists a limited exemption for roof covering that does not exceed an aggregate of 100 square feet.
