Electrical permit and Oncor battery interconnection path

City of Dallas residential solar, ESS, and backup power guidance says permits for solar, ESS, or backup generator systems require the full complement of applicable trades and that a separate stand-alone electrical permit is required for premise wiring alterations. Oncor's installer guidance also says a backup battery system needs an interconnection agreement if it operates in parallel with the utility. Residential battery storage should confirm the City permit path and Oncor interconnection requirements before operation.
